By policy, our staff will demonstrate how to set up your rooftop tent car while on self drive. The process is very easy so you will not have any difficulties. However here below we have explained the process of setting up your rooftop tent.
1) Park on a level surface and engage the parking brake to ensure stability. This prevents the vehicle from moving and provides a safe base for setting up your tent.
2) Release the tent latches, usually found on the sides or bottom, and remove any protective cover by unzipping or unclipping it. Set the cover aside for later use.
3) Deploy the tent by lifting it upwards or pulling it out to its extended position, using the hinge or scissor mechanism. The tent should easily unfold and take shape.
4) Extend the ladder, ensuring it is securely in place, as it often supports the tent’s extended floor. Make sure the ladder is fully extended and stable before proceeding.
5) Ensure the base of the tent is flat and fully extended. Lock it into position if necessary, checking that all support mechanisms are properly engaged.
6) Raise the tent canopy by opening the entrance and pushing up with the built-in poles or supports. Some tents have telescoping poles that need to be extended and locked into place.
7) If your tent includes a rain fly, attach it over the top using the provided hooks or Velcro straps. This provides additional protection from rain and wind.
8) Place the provided mattresses or bedding inside the tent, organizing your gear and ensuring everything is secure. This makes the tent comfortable and ready for use.
9) Finally, check the stability of all parts of the tent, especially the ladder and support mechanisms, before climbing up. Double-check that everything is securely in place to ensure a safe camping experience.
